6th Grade Graduation

We had a wonderful morning with Keiffer's 6th grade graduation. He was honored with a Hope of America award from the Kiwanis club. If you don't know what that is, read about it here. Each 6th grade teacher selects 2 students so there were only 6 awarded today from the 3 classes. He also recieved a Gold President's Award for Educational Excellence and was recognized for participating in Discovery Lab and Math Olympiad.

Keiffer will be attending Provo High next year. They are starting a program for gifted 7th and 8th graders and he was accepted. We are a little nervous about him being in the high school, but they have had a similar program in SLC for 20 years with great success. He of course, doesn't want to be away from all his friends. But we believe it will push him to be an even better student and benefit him in the long run.

Okay, I am done bragging now.

Spring Break - so called

Today is the 2nd day of our so-called Spring break. It has been cold, windy, rainy and snowy. Seems more like Winter break to me. We didn't get to hunt eggs outside on Easter, either. So now I am stuck in the house with 5 bored kids. Doesn't seem like much of a break to me. I think we need to get out of the house. Maybe a trip to the library is in order. As for pictures, I will try to post some recent ones, or you could look at my Facebook account. I have some from our trip to San Diego posted there.

April Fool's Day

Mother Nature played a great April Fool's Day joke on northern Utah yesterday. For the last week we have had fairly pleasant early spring weather. Then yesterday we wake up to snow on the ground. It wasn't snowing however. Then around midday, it starts snowing again. By the time 4 pm rolls around it has stopped snowing and has warmed up enough to melt all the previous snow. THEN about 6 it starts snowing AGAIN! And this time some hail is mixed in. So we got those little round snowball type hail that looks as if the styrofoam bead stuffing has come out of your kids favorite toys. Finally today is warmed up again. I really hope we have some nicer weather this weekend so that we can hunt eggs outside.

Happy Birthday to Me!

My darling, wonderful husband and children "woke" me up this morning singing to me. Mom is coming over later to watch the kids while Robson and I go out.

Okay, it has been over a year since I updated my blog. Let's see who notices this post, if anyone.

I promise to try to update more regularly.

December

I love this month of cheer.
It's the best time of the year.
On Christmas Day we laugh and play.
Hooray! Hooray! It's Christmas Day.
